OBITUARY
Eliza Mary Tedford was born in Kerr County, Texas, September 14, 1884, moved to the Plains in 1895, and on September 11, 1902, was married to J. W. Letsinger, at Plainview, Texas. She was the mother of five children: Susie May, James Alton, Mary Jane, William Ralph and Ella Virginia, all whom are living except Ella Virginia, the three year old baby who died in her mother's arms in the accident in which Mrs. Letsinger was killed near Monrow Switch, on April 13, about 5 o'clock in the afternoon.
Besides her children and husband she leaves a father, three brothers, three sisters, and a host of friends to mourn her loss. Her father, W. H. Tedford, and brothers, Milton, Alton and Ralph and one sister, Mrs. Ethel Morton live at Friona, Texas. One sister Mrs. W. B. Crow, lives at
Ranger, and the other sister, Mrs. Annie Brown, lives at Belen, New Mexico.
Mrs Letsinger was a good Christian woman, loved by all who knew her and her death was a great loss to the community in which she lived.
She was buried at the old Strip Cemetery east of Abernathy, where a host of friends and acquaintances attended the funeral.
