Robert was the son of Alfred Jordan Sr and Grace Ingalls Wilbur. He was the 11th of 14 children born to them.

He served in the U.S. Army during World War II. He enlisted on Jan 24, 1945 and was discharged on Nov 22, 1946.

He moved to Gene Autry, OK in 1949 where his married sister, Marjorie Jean Mitchell lived.

On June 10, 1950 he married Aline Carter, daughter of Ruben Carter and Altha Ellen Renshaw.

He was a member of the Dougherty First Baptist Church.

He worked at Dolese from 1949-1961 and then as General Electric service technician at Hicks Service in Sulphur from 1961-1981. He also worked at the Dougherty water treatment plant from 1967 until 1988.

He is survived by his three sons, Robert and wife, Debbie Jordan, Bethel Acres; Sidney and wife, Dortha Jordan, Chickasha; and Joe Jordan, Dougherty; two brothers, Paul Jordan and Herbert Jordan, both of New Hampshire; two sisters, Margie Mitchell and Mildred Cutter, both of New Hampshire; four grandchildren; four great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his wife Aline in 1997; also by both his parents; sisters Edna Jordan and Grace Crosby; brothers Edwin, Edward "Buster", Ralph, and Donald, all of New Hampshire; and three infant siblings Ruth Elizabeth, Arthur Pierce, and a baby brother.
