Proceedings of the New England Historic Genealogical Society, compiled by George Tolman, pg cxi - Memoirs; print, Boston, MA · 1900 (Google Books): Colonel Nathan Barrett, born Concord, Dec. 30, 1735; died Feb. 22, 1791; married May 22, 1760, Miriam Hunt, daughter of Simon and Mary (Raymond) Hunt. born 1741, died 1824.

Concord, Massachusetts, Births, Marriages, and Deaths, pg 342; print, Concord, MA · 1891 (Internet Archive): Barrett, Miriam, relict of the late Col. Nathan Barrett, died Dec. 10th, 1824. (aged 84. ch. rec.)

Simon Hunt wrote his Will 4 Oct 1786 there is not a prove date, but family mentioned are: Mary Hunt, Wife; Simon Hunt, First son; Ephraim Hunt, Son; John Hunt, Son; Mary Wheeler, Eldest daughter; Meriam Barrett, Second daughter; Ruth Brooks, Third daughter (deceased); Reuben Hunt, Fourth son; Joseph Hunt, Son.

Note: When researching Mary Raymond's birth date, which is well published, it is "Mary Meriam" who has this vital. When researching this family name, it is actually spelled "Meriam", and this daughter is called "Meriam" by the Colonel; these ladies were named for their mother. Meriam's niece by her brother Rueben is "Meriam". There is not a Miriam anywhere, they are all Meriam. Rarely ever will you see NEHGS make a mistake, but in this case, the spelling of the name became very important.
