Jose "Andy" Gallegos, 79, passed away on Wednesday, December 29, 2021, from this life to begin his next journey with his creator Hashem. Our hearts let him go with grief, gratitude, and the words in chapter Numbers 6:24-26 "May the Lord bless you and keep you. May the Lord show you his kindness and have mercy on you. May the Lord watch over you and give you peace."'

There will be a graveside service at General Douglas L. McBride Veterans Cemetery on Tuesday, January 4, 2022, at 11:00 AM.

Andy is survived by his wife, Sharon Caffall-Gallegos; children: Robbie Blair, Lynnie Moore and husband Johnnie, Andrew Gallegos II and wife Kim, Alan Nelson and wife Karen, Kelly Bush and husband Ray, and Jamie Dean; sixteen grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren; his siblings: Marcus Gallegos and Priscilla Romero.

Preceding Andy in death are his father, Marcus Gallegos; mother, Erlinda Smith Gallegos; son, Walk Gallegos; brothers: Tim Gallegos and Epifanio Gallegos; and his sister, Fedelina Moore.

Andy served the United States Armed Forces, he was one of the most patriotic souls ever to defend the freedom of America. In his later years, he was devoted to a life of supporting his grandchildren in their sporting events. All who knew Andy will always miss his devotion and love. His favorite place to visit was the South Fork Campground at Bonita Lake. Among the many interests Andy enjoyed some of them were gardening, genealogy, fishing, and camping. He recently expressed to his son-in-law, "I've had a long life and I'm very thankful for it, If I asked for more, I would be greedy!"
