Funeral services for Louis Alvin Ricks, who died Saturday at Mercy hospital of burns received in a fire July 11 at the Allen Boat Company plant on Harvey Canal, were held yesterday, interment being made in the McDonogh cemetery. He was buried by the Algiers funeral home of E. J. Mothe, 1300 Vallette street. A native of Algiers, Ricks was 50 years old and a veteran of World War I. He leaves his widow, the former Miss Lois Nunez; his parents, Mr. and Mrs. George L. Ricks, the former Miss Ida Fuhr; three sisters and four brothers, Mrs. Samuel Centanni, Mrs. Bertrand Mutz, Miss Rosina, Walter, Frank, Daniel and Charles Ricks.
