Hazel Ester Leeper, age 87, of Longville, died Sunday, September 1, 1991 at the Woodrest Nursing Home of Walker. Hazel was born in Edgerton, Minnesota, the daughter of Curtis and Ida Grover. She grew up and attended school in Minnesota and Iowa. After her schooling she married Harold Leeper in November of 1926 and they made their home in Waterloo, Iowa; until 1943 when they moved to Longville where they owned and operated Leeper's Resort on Wabedo Lake until their retirement. She has made her home in Longville until the present. She is Survived by her son Curtis Leeper (Sandra) of Indianapolis, Indiana; two grandchildren; one brother, Martin Grover of Washington; three sisters. Grace Summerhayes of Arkansas, Erma Burdick of Iowa, and Evelyn Williams of Florida; and Several nieces and nephew. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband and one brother. Graveside services were held Friday, September 6, 1991, at 9:00 A.M. at the Riverside Cemetery in Longville. Arrangements were by the Thomas-Dennis Funeral Home of Longville.
