Anna Mary went to be with her Lord on Monday, August 23, 2021 at the age of 99. She was born June 24, 1922 in Kitchener, daughter of Titus and Maryann (Dettweiler) Shantz. Surviving are two sons Maynard and Myron. Predeceased by her husband Elton on December 8, 1968 in a car accident. Anna lived with her parents on a farm near Kitchener until 1945, then worked in Kitchener for two years until her marriage in 1947. They moved to Preston for two years, then moved to Alma. Predeceased by brothers and their wives Melvin and Mildred Shantz, Clare and Nora Shantz, in-laws Leander and Marjorie Cressman, Ferman Cressman, Sim and Vera Weaver, Una Cressman, Mary Cressman, Cora Cressman, Pearl Cressman, Leona Cressman, Alfred and Olive High, Clayton and Mabel Shantz, Lloyd and Edith Woolner, Clifford and Gladys Cressman, Harold and Nelda Cressman, Clayton and Pauline Cressman; niece and nephews Charles, Florence and Robert Woolner. Visitation will take place on Thursday, August 26, 2021 from 6 - 8 p.m. at the Dreisinger Funeral Home, 62 Arthur St. S., Elmira. A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, August 27, 2021, at the New Covenant Mennonite Fellowship, 7831 Third Line, RR 2, Wallenstein. Interment in Berea Mennonite Cemetery.
