KOTLARCZYK, Sister Mary Hyacinth
Sister Mary Hyacinth Kotlarczyk, 81, died Tuesday, (December 18, 2007) in St. Francis Hospital, Hartford. Sister Hyacinth was a daughter of the late Andrew and Honorata (Szpindor) Kotlarczyk. She ministered for 48 years as a primary grade teacher in schools conducted by the Felician Sisters throughout the New England states as well as eastern New York. She earned a Bachelor's degree from Regis College, Weston, MA and a Master's degree from Fordham University. Sister Hyacinth also served as local minister in South Boston, MA, Hartford, and Providence, RI. After her retirement from teaching in 1999, she worked for a number of years as an aide in the Felician Sisters Infirmary as well as a clerical aide. Sister Hyacinth was predeceased by a brother, Frank and two sisters, Mary Stasiowski and Sister Mary Sylvine, also of the Felician Sisters. She leaves a sister, Stephanie Sowinski. Friends will be received beginning at 2 p.m. on December 20, at Our Lady of the Angels Provincial House, 1315 Enfield Street, Enfield. The wake service will begin at 4:30 p.m. followed by Evening Praise. The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in the convent chapel on Friday, December 21, at 10:30 a.m. Interment will follow in St. Adalbert's Cemetery, Enfield.
