Goldie May Welker Kauffman died at Harborside Healthcare Center on Tuesday, July 17, 2001. She is survived by seven children: Sons and daughters-in-law, Harold V. and Carol Welker; Guy and Phyllis Welker; Larry and Phyllis Welker;Richard and Judy Welker; daughters and sons-in-law, Hilda and Stanley Lawrence; Chloda and William Francis; Linda and Frank Edmisten. Sisters and brothers-in-law: Dorothy Barnett; Minnie and Myron Burris; Ruth and June Cassell. Brothers: Clyde Hayes and Charles Hayes; 29 grandchildren; 46 great grandchldren; 3 great great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Reuben and Sarah Ellen (Litchfield) Hayes; her first husband, Burness V. ''Dick'' Welker and her second husband, Donald Kauffman; a son, Jim; 3 brothers and one sister.

Mrs. Kauffman was a 46 year member of Grace Baptist Church of Troy, OH. She was formerly a cook with the Villa Nursing Home; Isalys Cafeteria, Troy, Ohio and former sales clerk and supervisor with McCroys of Troy, Ohio
