He was born on April 27, 1938, in Pittsburgh, PA, son of the late Paul R. and Sylvia Iacovino Villani.
Joe retired from Wheeling Housing Authority as a maintenance mechanic. He was a member of Corpus Christi Catholic Church, a member of Warwood Vets, and a former member of the Elm Grove Eagles 1891. Joe always put his friends and family first and was always there to help others. He loved playing euchre and drinking beer.
In addition to his parents, Joe was preceded in death by his wife, Patricia A. O'Donnell Villani, and his brother, Ronald Villani.
Surviving are his two sons, Daniel (Brenda) Villani of Elm Grove, Dale (Jennifer) Villani of Wheeling; two daughters, Dana (John) Stauver of Elm Grove, and Denise Villani of Warwood; nine grandchildren, Drew, Jordan, Scott, Justin, Devin, Andrew, Terra, Mike and Bill; several great grandchildren; and his great friends, Ed and Gloria Martin.
A special thanks to the Home for Men for the kindness shown to Joe during his time living there, and Amedisys Hospice and Continuous Care Center for the special care they provided Joe.
Friends will be received at Kepner Funeral Home, Burke Chapel, 2101 Warwood Avenue, Wheeling, WV 26003 (304-277-2122), on Wednesday, December 29, 2021, from 3-7 pm. A Mass of Christian burial will be held at Corpus Christi Catholic Church, Thursday, December 30, 2021, at 11 am with Father Paul M. C.S.T. as celebrant. Entombment will follow at Mt. Calvary Mausoleum.
The family asks that all friends and family wear masks to visitation.
