Born to Robert and Ella Parton, she was a native of Sevier County and originally from the historic Greenbriar area of the Smoky Mountains.
Agnes attended the Church of God and had a love for God that led her to read through the bible 16 times. She enjoyed caring for her home and family through gardening, canning vegetables, and cooking wonderful family dinners. Quilting and crocheting were ways she expressed her artistic talents.
She is preceded in death by her loving husband Berl J. Boling; her parents, Robert and Ella Parton; her daughter Jenell Boling Campbell; her son-in-law, J.E. Campbell; and son-in-law, Garry Kimble.
She is survived by her son Donnie W. Boling; daughters, Jean Saigh (Ron), Edna Kimble, Sandra Lane (Don), Doris Boling, Terri Negrone (David); sister, Ina Whaley grandchildren, Lisa Schumacher, (whose many out of town trips were greatly appreciated) Kimberly Saigh, Beverly Smith, Christy King, Ricky Campbell, Jeannie Ford, Sherri Thornton, Wendy Jensen, Keith Lane, Adam Boling, Jessica Negrone, Rachel Negrone, several great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.
A big "thank you" to Donnie and Doris for being there for mom and "thank you" to her caregivers Mira and Sarah and a very special friend, David Negrone for caring for her like he would his own mother.
In lieu of flowers contributions can be made to the House of Prayer Ministry Center.
The family will receive friends 4-6 PM Thursday with a service to follow at 6 PM in the East Chapel of Atchley Funeral Home. The family requests that anyone in attendance please wear a face mask upon entering the chapel. Family and friends will meet 11 AM Friday in Catons Chapel Cemetery for interment.
