Shirley Joan Adcock, born August 5, 1937, in Dayton Ohio, went home to be with the Lord on December 20, 2021, in her home in White Settle Settlement, Texas, at the age of 84.

Graveside Service: 10:00 A.M., Monday, December 27, 2021, at Jackson Cemetery, Krum, Texas.

A content woman of faith, a loving wife, mother, and grandmother, she led a full and abundant life.

A missionary with World Baptist Fellowship, she and her husband, Bobby Joe Adcock, spread the gospel of Jesus Christ in the Countries of Thailand, Spain and Ireland from 1962 until 1999. After retirement, she selflessly volunteered in the city of White Settlement, teaching English as a second language.

Joan was a loving and content soul who brought joy, peace and sage advice. She will be greatly missed by her family and friends.

Survived by her children: Laura and Mark and wife, Roisin; grandchildren, Tara, Aaron, Jessica, Daniel and Joel; as well as nieces, nephews, cousins and many friends.
