Excelled in track, diving, archery and the study of rare plants. Loved Biology, singing and sports. Proud of pioneer ancestors. Married Roma Bryant Smith in 1934. Divorced in 1954. Two children: Adelaide and Ralph. Taught in several schools in Bountiful. Librarian for five schools in Davis County. Played the piano. Gift teacher. Famous for homemade afghans, oil paintings and prize winning roses.

Predeceased by her parents and sisters Delores and Louis.
