3 Dec 2007: Olive Lucinda Fetzer, 94, of State College, went home to be with her Lord on Sunday, Dec. 2, 2007, at the Hearthside Nursing Center in State College. She was born Oct. 13, 1913 in Hillsdale, a daughter of the late David and Alpha Brown Sheesley. On May 18, 1931, she married Raymond I. Fetzer, who preceded her in death on Oct. 13, 2001. Olive worked in the animal pathology lab at Penn State for six years and was a homemaker most of her adult life. She was a member of the Milesburg God's Missionary Church in Milesburg. She especially enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren, cooking and crocheting. Mrs. Fetzer is survived by two daughters, Marian O. Shultzaberger of rural Tyrone, and Carol D. Yurick of Alpharetta, GA; six sons, Ray "Sarge" L. Fetzer of Cardington, OH, Rev. L. Dean Fetzer, of Bethany, MO, Ted Fetzer of Huntingdon, Joseph S. Fetzer of Mount Union, Paul D. Fetzer of Williamsport, and Larry J. Fetzer of Smyrna, DE; 25 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; and 12 great-great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by nine sisters and brothers. Friends will be received from 7 to 9 p.m., Tuesday, Dec. 4, 2007, and from 10 to 11 a.m. Wednesday, Dec. 5, 2007, at Mark D. Heintzelman Funeral and Cremation Services P.C., 1034 Benner Pike, State College. The funeral will be held at 11 a.m., Wednesday, Dec. 5, 2007, at the funeral home, with the Revs. Herman Noll and Michael Hoskins officiating. Burial will be in Centre County Memorial Park.
