Mr. John Henry Jenkins, 64, died February 9th, 2004 at Wake Forest University Baptist Medical Center.

Burial with military rites by Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 1142 will be in Parker Family Cemetery.

Mr. Jenkins was born May l8, 1939 in Wilkes County, a son to John Finley and Essie Lowe Jenkins. A resident of the Archdale area since 1960, he was of the Baptist faith and had worked at Swaim, Inc. for over 40 years. He was a Private First Class U.S. Army Veteran from May 1954 to May 1958 and served in the Korean War. On November 21, 1995 he married Donna Martin Folsom who survives of the home.

Also surviving are two children; Starr Hayes of Thomasville and Brady Jenkins of Thomasville, two step-children; Thomas Folsom and wife Michelle of Archdale and
Dawn McDuffie and husband David of Archdale, two sisters; Linda Elliott of Wilkesboro and Brenda Jones of Moravian Falls, two brothers; Charlie Jenkins and Ernest (Bob) Jenkins both of Lenior, and a grandson, Chad Hayes of Thomasville.
