she was the wife of Joseph David Miller m. 28 June 1941 in Hagerstown and the daughter of the late Nora Christina Mae (Shank) Bartles Mulligan and Charles C. Bartles. She lived her early life in Hagerstown and then the family moved to Waynesboro. Mrs. Miller attended school in Hagerstown. They moved to the present residence in 1946. Mr. Miller died September 30, 2004. After she raised her daughter, she worked at Corning Glass in Greencastle for 10 years on the assembly line. Mrs. Miller attended Antrim Assembly of God Church, Greencastle and a member of the national AARP. She is survived by a daughter, Shelva Jean (husband Larry) Martin of Lyons, GA, three grandsons, four great-grandchildren, four sisters, Virginia Bingaman, Nellie E. Bouders both of Waynesboro; Mary Ann Hines of Hagerstown; Nora Mae LaRue of Luke, MD, two brothers, Dean L. Bartles and Jacob L. Bartles both of Hagerstown, and a number of nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her step-father, Franklin L. Mulligan, a granddaughter, Kellie J. Sprenkle, three sisters, Christina Blair, Pauline Timbrook and Helen Bartles, three brothers, Charles C. Bartles, David L. Bartles and Paul Bartles.
