Mary H. Aho, 83, Tamarack, died, Dec. 13, 2007, in Riverwood Healthcare Center, Aitkin.

She was born in 1924 in Wright, the daughter of John and Sandra Oja. She was a 1941 graduate of Highline High School in Burian, Wash. She married Arthur Aho on Sept. 14, 1945, in Burian.

Following high school and while living in Washington, Mary was a bookkeeper for Western Union and Puget Sound Power and Light. She then worked as a bookkeeper for Tamarack Co-op for nine years and retired from CAP Trico Oil in 1987 after 22 1/2 years of service.

Mary loved to read her Bible each morning as her daily devotional. She was an active member of Bethlehem Lutheran Church in Wright. She served as the financial secretary for the church for 13 years, sang in the church choir, taught confirmation and was very active in WELCA. She deeply loved her family and also enjoyed traveling, reading, playing cards-especially Shanghai rummy, and was a Twins and Vikings fan.

Funeral services were held Dec. 16 in Bethlehem Lutheran Church, Wright. Burial was in Lakeside Cemetery. Memorials are preferred to Bethlehem Lutheran Church, Wright, Minn.

She is survived by her husband, Art of Tamarack; daughter, Sandy (Tom) Nistler, McGregor; grandchildren, Tia (Dan) Hayes, Bovey, Shawn (Jenny) Nistler, Andover, and Bryan (Heather) Nistler, McGregor; and five great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her sisters, Beth Wilson, Sivia Salo and Amelia "Susie" Suryan and brothers, Gust and John Oja.

Arrangements were with Northland Funeral Home, Cloquet.
