LEAFY E. BEYER

Leafy E. Beyer, age 98, a resident of Shady Lane Nursing Care Center, died Saturday morning, Dec. 15, 2007, at Shady Lane.
The former Leafy Halverson was born Feb. 22, 1909, in Swanson, Mich., daughter of the late Herman and Myrtle Clewley Halverson. She grew up in Shawano and graduated from high school in Shawano. On May 1, 1928, Leafy was married to Irvin Beyer in Shawano. The couple moved to Manitowoc in 1950 and Irvin preceded her in death on June 30, 1958. She was a member of St. Paul United Methodist Church.
Survivors include three sons and two daughters-in-law: Roger (Denise) Beyer of Manitowoc; Gary Beyer of Green Bay; Mitz (Diann) Beyer of Manitowoc; fourteen grandchildren, twenty-five great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews other relatives and friends survive.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, one son: Lyn Beyer; one daughter-in-law: Miki Beyer; two grandchildren, two brothers and one sister.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Dec. 19, 2007, at St. Paul United Methodist Church, 411 Reed Ave., Manitowoc. The Rev. Thomas J. Dunham will officiate with burial to follow at the Evergreen Cemetery.
Relatives and friends may call at the church on Wednesday from 10 a.m. until the time of services at 11 a.m.
A memorial fund has been established in her name for St. Paul United Methodist Church.
