Mrs. May Hayes Blanchard, 80, died July 11, in the Methodist Hospital in Peoria. A resident of Minneapolis, she became ill while visiting her brother in Peoria.
She was born July 24, 1885, in Brimfield, a daughter of Charles and Elizabeth Hindle Hayes and married Lucius B. Blanchard December 24, 1914. He died in 1941.
Survivors include one daughter, Mrs. Thomas (Elizabeth) Campbell, and a son, Robert H. Blanchard, both of Minneapolis; one stepdaughter, Mrs. Harry (Mildred) Hofer of Princeville, four grandchildren; and four step-grandchildren; one brother, Harry Hayes of Peoria; and one sister, Mrs. John (Ruth) Chipman of Winchester, Mass. Two sisters, two brothers and two stepsons preceded her in death.
A former schoolteacher, she attended a Presbyterian church in Minneapolis, where she had resided 33 years.
Funeral services were held in the Hammitt Memorial Chapel with Rev. Samuel Parker of the Princeville Methodist Church in charge. Burial was in the Princeville Cemetery.
