In memory of Eugene Voland McBroom, 61, of Salem, AR died unexpectedly on Wednesday, November 17, 2021 at Baxter Regional Medical Center.

Gene was born on Saturday, August 27,1960, in Pineville, LA at the Huey P. Long hospital, to his parents Voland Eugene McBroom and Leilani Adell McBroom. He graduated from Bolton High School in 1979. Then was happily married to his loving wife Carol McBroom for 41 years. Gene was a wonderful father and provider to his family; he started work at Napa Auto Parts as a sales manager where he was employed for 6 years, then he worked a year and a half at the Fulton County Nursing Home, then he worked 13 years at the Tri-County Shirt Factory, and he completed his work history after 20 years of employment as an end matcher for Beasley Flooring Products.

Gene leaves to cherish his memory, his mother Leilani Mullins, his wife, Carol McBroom, his children Veronica Pitts & AJ McBroom (Nikki), his siblings Laura Kinsinger (Scott), Francis A. Tolbert Jr. (Jessica) & Steve Tolbert, and his grandchildren Audrey McBroom, Eden McBroom, Isaac McBroom, Olivia Padgett & Sophia Bledsoe.

Gene is preceded In death by his Father, Voland Eugene McBroom, his Dad, Francis Arthur Tolbert Sr., his brother Peter Evans McBroom and his 2 grandchildren Ashton & Allie Padgett.

Gene was an avid Christian man of the Seventh Day Adventist faith who had a strong & faithful relationship with our Lord and Heavenly Father. He was a strong family presence who always put his family first with an endless love. Besides spending time with his family & friends, Gene had a passion for traveling, attending sporting events (Geaux Tigers) and maintaining his 5 acre homestead with his "Beautiful" wife. Gene was a very kind & generous man who touched many lives and was loved by all.

A visitation and funeral service is scheduled for Monday November 22, 2021 visitation starts at 11am and the service will begin at 12pm at the Salem First Baptist Church located at 552 US-62 Salem, AR 72576. Pastor Elroy Tesh officiating.

Pallbearers will be A.J. McBroom, Steve Tolbert, Ray Gene Harris, Francis Tolbert, Zach Harris, and Paul Davis.
Honorary pallbearers will be Johnny Davis and Scott Kinsinger.

A reception for Family only will follow the graveside service.
