Katie was a rescue. She was in a horrible state when we got her. Katie was a blind beagle and thrown out in a neighbor's yard. She was starved and in such a bad shape, but in a few months she began to look better. When you fed her, she would look up at you and smile, with her teeth showing. We made her a cozy space downstairs, where she was kept warm & dry in the winter and cool in the summer. And of course, always had water and food. She was with us for only six years before her body was worn out and she left us.
