Muriel Alice Abbot-Anderson was born in Yorktown in Camberley on the 7th of August the daughter of Major Edward Abbot Anderson and his second wife Lavinia (nee Barr).

At the time of her birth her parents were living in The Terrace within the grounds of the Royal Military College at Sandhurst. Her father was Instructor of Military Surveying at the time.

They moved to Royden Lodge in Camberley and after the death of her father Muriel lived on in the house with her mother.

She did not marry

In 1939 Muriel was living in St Mary's Road in the centre of the town.

Muriel was still living in St Mary's Road when taken ill. She died in Brookwood Hospital on the 12th of March 1954. She was buried at Camberley on the 18th of March.
