Mr. Jessie Clyde Vines, age 72, of Buchanan, passed away Monday, March 29, 1999. Mr. Vines was born December 8, 1926 in Bessemer, Ala. He was a member of Valley View Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his son Johnny C. Vines; and a granddaughter, Christy Ann Redding. Survivors include his wife, Kathryn Vines of Buchanan; two sons, William Vines and Phillip Vines both of Buchanan; a daughter, Diane Pancoast of Woodland, Ala., two brothers, Rev. Billy Vines and William David Vines both of Cedartown; five sisters, Ruby Kelley, Lola Sullivan and Brenda Holly all of Montgomery, Ala., Bessie Brown of Chiefland, Fla., and Anges Hagin of Cedartown; seven grandchildren; and five great grandchildren. Graveside services were held Wednesday, March 31 from the Valley View Cemetery with the Rev. Billy Vines and the Rev. Robert Vines officiating. Interment followed. Lester C. Litesey Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.
