J. B. (JAP) MABRY
DE QUEEN, Ark., June 5. --- J. B. Mabry, 30, a linesman in Shreveport, La., and a former resident of De Queen, was killed instantly when he fell from a 55 foot pole Wednesday, May 26 at 9:30 a. m.
Funeral services were held in Shreveport Friday at 10:30 a. m. with the Rev. Wallace of the Lakeshore Baptist church officiating. Interment was in St. Vincent cemetery under the direction of the Osborne funeral home.
He is survived by his wife and one daughter, Ophelia; his father and step-mother, Mr. and Mrs. W. A. Mabry of De Queen; two brothers, Mark Mabry, De Queen and Nat Mabry of Broken Bow, Okla.; two sisters, Mrs. S. D. Tune of Big Sandy, Texas and Mrs. Arthur French, De Queen; two half-brothers, Herman Mabry, Sherman, Texas and Harold Mabry, De Queen.
The following relatives from De Queen attended the services: Mrs. Arthur French, Mr. and Mrs. Eutah Davis, Miss Lucretia Jackson, Mr. and Mrs. Will Davis; Nat Mabry, Broken Bow, Okla.
