MAJOR JAMES B. HORNER DEAD
Won Distinction In Civil War - Later Successful in Business
New York. Dec. 28,- Major James Brown Horner, a civil war veteran, is dead at his home, 407 West Twenty-first street, where he had lived for the last forty years.
Major Horner was born in Albany on Aug. 5, 1839 and at the outbreak of the civil war he enlisted in Hawkins zouaves, a famous organization.
Funeral services will be held at his late home at 8 o'clock on Wednesday evening and the interment will be made on Thursday morning in West Brighton (Staten Island) cemetery.
