Louise Violet Lutts Smith Hochmuth
March 3, 1942 – December 8, 2021

Louise was born in Beach, ND the youngest of the 7 children of Ottis and Ina (Higby) Lutts.
Louise was raised on a farm north of Carlisle, MT. She married Eugene Smith in 1962, and they lived in Columbus, MT and had 2 children. After divorcing she moved to Laurel, MT.
In 1990 she married Robert Hochmuth, of Roundup, MT She enjoyed ranching, gardening, camping, cooking and was an amazing baker. She is preceded in death by her parents; 2 brothers, William and Russell; 3 sisters, Maxine Waymire, Dora Kunda and Doris Benner. Survivors include her husband Robert Hochmuth of Roundup, MT; children Danette (Bud) Metzger of Laurel, MT and Allen (Cyndi) Smith of Lockwood, MT; and sister Della Bunney of Lakewood, CO. She also leaves behind five grandchildren, four stepchildren, eight step grandchildren and ten great grandchildren.
In the spring the family will gather at Fireman's Point for a celebration of life.
