Marianne R. Persing, 72, of 483 S. Shamokin St., went to be with her Lord Wednesday, Dec. 15, 2021, at Geisinger Medical Center, in Danville.
She was born Feb. 2, 1949, a daughter of the late Elizabeth (Heffner) and Williard Leitzel, of Ashland.
She was a 1966 graduate of Ashland Area High School.
She was happily employed by Shenandoah Manor for 25 years prior to her retirement. After her retirement, she enjoyed spending her time with her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren and her best friend, her dog, Rusty.
Marianne is survived by her three daughters, Amy Persing, of Catasauqua, Heather Lytle and her husband, Dave, of Coal Township, and Jeni Libby, of Shamokin; sisters and brothers; a stepson, Robert L. Persing Jr.; and nieces, nephews, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her lifetime love, husband Robert L. Persing Sr., in 2004; two stepdaughters; three brothers and a sister.
She will be missed beyond measure and forever loved.

She was preceded in death by her lifetime love, husband, Robert L. Persing, Sr. in 2004. She was also preceded in death by 2 stepdaughters, 3 brothers and a sister. She is survived by her 3 daughters, Amy Persing (Catasauqua), Heather Lytle and her husband Dave (Coal Township), Jeni Libby (Shamokin), sisters, brothers, and a step-son (Robert L. Persing, Jr.), nieces, nephews, grandchildren and great- grandchildren. She will be missed beyond measure and forever loved. She will be laid to eternal rest next to her husband at the Fairview Gun Club in Coal Township with a date and time to be determined.
