Alton was the family clown. He loved hanging out with his grandchildren. He also enjoyed fishing, watching football and racing. He was a North Carolina Tarheel and Dale Earnhart, Sr. fan. He will be missed by all who loved and knew him.
He was preceded in death by his father, Henry Franklin Stedman; a son, Joshua Stedman; and a brother, Ronnie Stedman.
Alton is survived by his daughter, Kristin Arnett (Dustin) of Parkton; five grandchildren: Dillion Stedman, Daniel Stedman, Isaiah Arnett, Landon Arnett, and Olivia Arnett; his mother, Annie Elizabeth Stedman of St. Pauls; a sister, Patsy Brown of St. Pauls; and her brothers, Donald Stedman (Patty) of Grays Creek and Leroy Stedman of Stedman.
The funeral services will be held in Pinecrest Funeral & Cremation Services, 4721 Dunrobin Drive, Hope Mills, NC 28348. The burial services will be held at Cumberland Cemetery, Bingham Drive, Fayetteville, NC 28304.
