He was born in Beverly , son of the late Richard and Edith (Patch) Ambrose. Untill his retirement he had been employed for many years by the Pickering Fuel Co.
Besides his wife he is survived by two sons, Charles R. Ambrose Jr.of Salem and George H. Ambrose of lynn: six daughters, Mrs. Norman (Lucy) Ouellette of West Palm Beach, Fla. Mrs. Priscilla Arroyo, Mrs. Shirley Crean and Mrs. Charles (Barbara) Allen all of Salem, Mrs. Francis (Eleanor) Belanger and Hatty Gray, both of Beverly., on brother Edmund Ambrose of Rowley: and 16 grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday in the Crombie Cronregational Church.
