Mrs. Fannie Mae Dendy Kilgore, 83, of Greenwood died of heart failure June 26, 2000 at Lakeland Healthcare Center in Jackson.

Born in Stewart, Mrs. Kilgore was a resident of Greenwood for 43 years. She was a homemaker.

Mrs. Kilgore was preceded in death by two brothers, Houston and Ruston Dendy.

Funeral services were held June 29 at Williams & Lord Chapel in Greenwood with Jim Patterson officiating. Burial was in Milligan Springs near Kilmichael.

Mrs. Kilgore is survived by her husband, John. L. Kilgore of Greenwood; two daughters. Nancy Hunt of Greenwood, Weecy Patterson of Tullahoma, Tenn.; one step-daughter,Yvonne Middleton of Eupora; one son, Mickey Henson of Corpus Christi, Texas; four sisters, Laura Hamlin of Stewart, Bessie Dendy, Polly Haire, both of Lambert, Celess York of Shiloh, Tenn.; two brothers, Denver Dendy of Wayside, J.L. Dendy of Winona; 13 grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers were Justin Anderson, Jason Barry, Shane Henson, Jody Henson, Jessie Wayne Kilgore, and Kenneth Barry.

Williams & Lord Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.
