Funeral services for Johnnie Bert Pace, Jr. will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, December 18, 2021, at Pine Coupee Pentecostal Church, Flatwoods, with Reverends Michael Dubois and Roland George officiating.
Interment will follow in Bay Springs Cemetery, Chopin, under the direction of Rush Funeral Home, Pineville.
Mr. Pace, 76, of Flatwoods, entered eternal rest on Tuesday, December 14, 2021, at Our Lady of the Lake Hospital, Baton Rouge, Louisiana.
He was a U. S. Marine Veteran serving in the Vietnam War. He was retired from the Louisiana Department of Transportation Bridge Maintenance Department. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and gardening. He also had a passion for old music. He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
He was preceded in death by one daughter, Penny Pace; his mother, Francis Green Janies; one brother, Edward Green; and one sister, Viola Murrell.
Those left to mourn his loss and cherish his memory include his loving wife of fifty-four years, Bonnie Pace, of Flatwoods; four daughters, Gloria Pace, and her husband, Chris, of Rapides Station, Misty Daigle, and her husband, Wiley, of Broussard, Candy Henry, and her husband, Robert, of Tioga, and Sandy Keene, and her husband, Gene, of Flatwods; one sister, Marie McBride, of Tyler, Texas; twelve grandchildren; and seventeen great grandchildren.
A time of visitation will be held at Pine Coupee Pentecostal Church, Flatwoods, on Friday, December 17, 2021, from 4:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. Visitation will resume at the church on Saturday, December 18, 2021, at 9:00 a.m. until time of services.
Pallbearers honored to serve are John Troquille, Kenny Troquille, Corey Troquille, Timothy Troquille, Morgan Troquille, Christopher Soileau, and Andrew Jowers.
