Mrs. Norine Mullen, 91, of Carrollton, died of kidney failure Oct. 28, 2001 at Greenwood Leflore Hospital in Greenwood. She was a retired clerk with the J.C. Penney Company and was of an active member of the Women in the Church of the Carrollton Presbyterian Church.
Preceded in death by her husband, Mr. J.H. Mullen, and her parents, James Henry and Nora Stanford, she is survived by one son, James Robert Mullen of Carrollton; two granddaughters, Jackie Clay and Shanda Coleman, both of Carrollton; and four great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were held Oct. 30 at Carrollton Presbyterian Church in Carrollton with the Rev. Morris Taylor officiating. Burial was in Evergreen Cemetery in North Carrollton. Lee Funeral Home of Winona was in charge of arrangements.
Pallbearers were Jeff Coleman, Gary Clay, Justin Coleman, Harmon Stanford, Mack Bennett, and Jack Bennett. Honorary pallbearers were deacons and elders of the Carrollton Presbyterian Church and Bill Montgomery. Memorials may be made to Carrollton Presbyterian Church in Carrollton.
