Richard C. Carlisle II, loving father, faithful brother, and friend to many, passed away at his home during the December 10, 2021 tornado in Dawson Springs, KY.

A Celebration of Life service will be held Friday, December 17, 2021, at 11:00 am, at Sykes Funeral Home. The family will receive friends Thursday, December 17, 2021, from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm at the funeral home and again on Friday from 10:00 am until the time of service. Rick will be laid to rest at Sango Cemetery.

Born in Aurora, Colorado on June 9, 1954, Rick was the son of the late Richard Carlisle and Joy Carlisle. He and his sisters lived in multiple states across the country and Okinawa, Japan. He is preceded in death by his sisters Rita (Richard) Casazza and Deborah (Hall) Jenkins. He is survived by his sister Cynthia Kayyod.

Rick was married to the late Terry Lee Smith Carlisle for 42 years. Together they had two daughters, Crystal Carroll and Roshae Harrison, both of Clarksville. He treasured his sons-in-law Ben Carroll and Chris Harrison. Rick had three grandchildren, Haley Harrison, Carson Carroll and Mallory Carroll. He also leaves behind his companion Laura Duncan.

Rick retired from Trane in 2014 with over 38 years of service. He spent many years doing mechanic work for friends, co-workers and fellow church members. Rick enjoyed building custom show cars, traveling to car shows and riding horses.

Serving as pallbearers will be Ben Carroll, Chris Harrison, Farshod Kayyod, Cliff Leftwich, David Harrison, Mark Smith and Johnny Murray. Honorary pallbearers will be Phil Bologna, friends he made showing cars, and friends he made while living in Kentucky.
