Ricky Stephens was born in Texas, the son of Richard Ellis Stephens and Helen Ruth Remley Stephens. He was raised in Forrest City, Arkansas, and graduated Class of 1962, FCHS. He was in communications in the US Army in Vietnam, 1963-1965. He worked in the textile industry most of his life. He was married to Susie Gibbs in 1969, then Charlotte Wilkes Hill in 2003. He had 2 children. Paige born 1970 and Richard Andrew (Drew) Stephens, born 1981.
He was an avid Boy Scout. He was active in the Forrest City Little Theatre and the Presbyterian Church Choir. He was an excellent vocalist. He loved golf and bridge and played whenever possible.
He died of Liver Cancer brought on by Malignant Melanoma.
