Shirley Ruth Wrenn Hudgens, 86, resident of Windsor Oak Court, widow of Fred Hudgens, passed away Sunday, December 12, 2021, at Hospice & Palliative Care of the Piedmont.
Born January 19, 1935, in Charlotte, NC, she was a daughter of the late George Siebert and Vida Ruth Long Wrenn. She was a graduate of Greenwood High School and retired from Monsanto. Shirley loved to cook and sew.
She was a member of South Main Baptist Church and was a member of the Adult 5 Sunday School Class.
Surviving are two sons Vernon Devore of Greenwood and Jody Devore and wife Johnette of Spartanburg; two grandchildren, Trenton Devore of Spartanburg and Anna Devore Horwatt and husband Alan Horwatt of Pendleton; and 2 great-grandchildren, Angela Devore of Spartanburg and Graiden Horwatt of Pendleton.
She was predeceased by a sister, Lois Sartar of Lexington; and brothers, George Wrenn of Augusta, GA, Tony Wrenn and Timmie Wrenn both of Greenwood.
Burial will be at Greenwood Memorial Gardens with Dr. Toby Frost officiating.
