Judith V. Dittmer, 79, of Tipton, passed away Saturday, December 11, 2021, at Mercy Hospital in Iowa City.

Visitation will be 4:00 to 7:00 p.m., Friday, December 17, at Fry Funeral Home in Tipton. All cards and memorials in her memory, may be mailed to: Dennis Dittmer, 1297 Harding Ave., Tipton, IA 52772.

Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m., Saturday, December 18, at Fry Funeral Home in Tipton, with Rev. Kerry Sandusky officiating. Burial will be in the Rochester Cemetery, rural Rochester, Iowa. A reception will be held at the Tipton VFW in Tipton following the services.

Judith Vee Hoalton was born January 4, 1942, in Eureka, California, the daughter of Curtis and Nedra (Stonefoot) Hoalton. She graduated from Eureka High School in 1961. She married Dennis Ray Dittmer on September 12, 1990, in Reno, Nevada. She was employed as a receptionist at the Johnson County Human Services in Iowa City, until her retirement in 1994. She enjoyed the beach and travelling to California and destinations along the West coast of Mexico. She also liked to dance and listening to 1960's music. She was an easy going, kind, compassionate, loving woman who everyone loved.

Surviving are her husband, Dennis of Tipton; three sons, Mark (Jessie) Asher of Kansas City, MO, Matthew (Kyla) Asher of Bellevue, NE, and Dennis Pettit of Tiffin; one step-son, Colin Dittmer-Flynn of Union, MO; 13 grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; one brother, Gary (Susan) Hoalton of Ferndale, CA; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her step-father, Wes Kausen, one daughter, Kelly Asher in 1994 and two brothers, William Hoalton and Ward Hoalton.
