Glenn Edward Allen, 69, of Indianola, passed away peacefully Thursday, November 25, 2021, at Indianola Rehabilitation and Healthcare Center in Indianola.

Glenn was born August 15, 1952, in Indianola, to Olen Alexander Allen and Bonnie Jean Hudson Allen. He was a farmer and enjoyed tinkering around working on things. Glenn was extremely devoted to his children, grandchildren, brothers, and sisters. He loved working on fish ponds, drag racing and most of all ice cream.

Glenn was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers, Wayman Allen and Bill Allen.

He is survived by three children, Jessica (George) Morales of Cleveland, Glenn Allen, II of Leland, and Samantha Montemayor of Memphis, Tennessee; three brothers, Estel (Sarah) Allen of Indianola, Donnie (Joyce) Allen of Indianola, and Gary (Nola) Allen of Iowa; three sisters, Wanda Allen of Australia, Brenda Allen of Indianola, and Linda Allen of Indianola; 10 grandchildren; 1 great grandchild; and a host of nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends from 1:00 pm until 2:00 pm, Tuesday, November 30, 2021, at Burton Funeral Home in Indianola. The funeral service will begin at 2:00 pm with Rev. Pete Roncali officiating. Burial will follow in Indianola City Cemetery in Indianola. Burton Funeral Home of Indianola has been entrusted with arrangements.
