Newton, NH: Joyce M. (Pollard) Clark, 75, a resident of Newton for fifty-one years, died peacefully after a courageous battle with cancer, on Saturday, December 4, 2021, at Cedar View Rehabilitation Center in Methuen, surrounded by her loving family.

Born in Methuen, daughter of the late Allan and Dorothea (LaGrange) Pollard, she spent her early childhood in South Lawrence, MA before moving to Derry, NH and graduated from Pinkerton Academy with the Class of 1964. She went on to attend the Fazio School of Hairdressing.

Joyce was employed first as a waitress at the Skyport Diner in Methuen, where she met the love of her life and married in 1967. She later worked as a clerk at the IRS. She left the work force to raise her four children before returning to employment first in the Sanborn Regional School District. Later, from 1987 until 2009 she worked as an administrative assistant to the Director of Special Education at the Hampstead Central School until her retirement.

She was a member of the National Education Association, the Newton Firemen's Auxiliary, the Quilting Club, and the Rolling Wheels CB Club of Salem, NH with the handle of "Broom Pilot".

Joyce enjoyed various activities including: crafting, camping on Prince Edward Island, taking cruises, playing the slots at Foxwoods, and in Las Vegas, spending time at her second home in Ft. Pierce, Florida, and at the beach working on her tan. Most importantly, Joyce was a devoted wife, Mom, Nana and great-grandmother and enjoyed making a warm and inviting home for her family and their friends who all called her "Mom".
