Dorothea B. Wilkey, 99, of Willisville, formerly of Mt. Vernon and Belle Rive, IL, passed away Thursday, December 9, 2021, at Memorial Hospital, Carbondale, IL.
Dorothy was born September 2, 1922, in Kinmundy, IL, to Guy and Flossie Yost Barbee. She retired from Mount Vernon Shoe Factory.
Dorothy is survived by her son, Robert Lee (Sue) Stevens, daughters: Winona (Brad) Doerner, Karen (Gene) Rucks; their father, Howard P. Wilkey, step-daughter, Wynona Ewalt, whom she dearly loved, grandchildren: Becky (James) Martin, Michael Ewalt, Susan (Bryan) Ewalt, Bryan (Kyla) Stevens, Christopher Doerner, Brandon (Sarah) Doerner, Chad (Heather) Ewalt, Justin (Carrie) Rucks; great grandchildren: Isabella, Ryley, Bailee, Sydney, Dillon, Zackary, Alexia, Talon, Tyler, Grant, Jackson, Tyler, Macy, Taylor, Landon, Maddy, and Megan.
Dorothy is preceded in death by her brothers: Rolland, Lyle, Wallace (Wally), infant, Wayne; two sisters, Amelda and Margaret.
