A son of the late Columbus Jackson and Mamie Mae Justice Miller, he was born November 22, 1925 in Stephens County, Georgia where he lived all his life. He was retired from the Stephens County School system having worked in the cafeteria for a number of years. He was a member of Old Toccoa Baptist Church. He loved to fish, hunt and sing.
Survivors include his wife of the home, Lorena Yearwood Miller; two sons and daughters-in-law, David and Denisa Miller and Roger and Imelda Miller both of Toccoa; grandchildren, Stephanie and Tim VanVoorst, Megan and Jesse Lewis, Justin Miller and Jason Miller; great-granddaughter, Chloe Lewis; three brothers, Starling Miller and Guy Miller both of Toccoa and Richard Miller of Lancaster, South Carolina; sister, Lucille Davis of Toccoa.
Graveside services will be Tuesday, October 25, 2016, 11 O'clock AM at the Old Toccoa Baptist Church Cemetery with The Reverend Roger Elrod and The Reverend Jerrell Beatty officiating. The following gentlemen will serve as pallbearers, Peter Traudt, Jimmy Howard, Jon Mills, Ed Mills, Jesse Lewis and Kenny Scott. Honorary pallbearer, Justin Miller.
