A native of Westminster, MD, he was born on Wednesday, August 30, 1944 to the late Leroy and Catherine Shue Chronister. He was also preceded in death by his wife of 38 years, Anna M. Chronister, who died in 2013; and a brother, Larry Chronister. Edward was a horseman for 43 years with Hanover Shoe Farm and loved camping and being outdoors. He enjoyed working on cars and spending time with his dog, Buck.
Survivors include two sons, George A. Chronister and his wife, Jill, of Thomasville, and George M. Chronister and his wife, Lydia, of Glen Rock; three daughters, Denise Beer, Sara Chronister and Jana Rake; two grandsons, Matthew and Travis Chronister; a brother, Glen Chronister and his wife, Helen; two sisters, Diane Pickett and her husband, Sam, and Donna Miller and her husband, Richard, all of Westminster, MD; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Burial will follow in Rest Haven Cemetery.
