Anita attended high school in Wisconsin. She was married to Richard L. Nerden for 18 years, they later divorced. They lived in Waukesha, Wisconsin before moving to Ogden, Utah. She married George Glade Checketts and they enjoyed 33 years together. George passed away on May 15, 2017.
After moving to Ogden, Anita enjoyed her time working at K-Mart and Carters, where she met many lifetime friends. She enjoyed spending a lot of time at their cabin in Scare Canyon. She loved her deer and animals at the cabin, and truly loved spending time with family and grandkids. She collected angels, played card games, and loved her cat Keke. She thought of everyone as family, and she had a wonderful sense of humor.
A special thanks to all the family and close friends that kept in touch with her over the years.
Anita is survived by three daughters, five sons, forty four grandchildren and seventy six great grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her mother, father, brother, husband George Checketts, and daughter-in-law Darla.
Graveside service will be Friday, December 10, 2021, 11:00 a.m., at the Hooper City Cemetery, 5301 S. 6300 W., Hooper, Utah.
