Bill Sutter

Funeral services for William "Bill" Sutter, age 91, of Winnsboro, are scheduled for 3:00 p.m., Saturday, October 27, 2007, at Beaty Funeral Home. Rev. Danny Sutter will officiate.

Interment will follow services in the New Pickton Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 12:00 p.m., to service time, on Saturday, at the funeral home.

Mr. Sutter passed away on Thursday, October 25, 2007, in Winnsboro. He was born on August 12, 1915, in Winnsboro, the son of James W. and Mary B. Gillam Sutter, and was a lifetime resident of that community. He married Mattie Lou Medders, on October 23, 1935. She survives.

Mr. Sutter was a founding member of the Walnut Street Baptist Church, in Winnsboro. He worked for Winnsboro Well Service, in the Oil Field Industry and served in the U.S. Army, during WWII.

Other survivors include: daughters and sons-in-law, Billie and John Cooper of Sulphur Springs, Joy and Gene Rose of Pickton, and Sue and Doug Mosley of Winnsboro; seven grandchildren, Janet Edwards, Brent Wall, Jonathan Cooper, Shannon Brewer, Krista Mehler, Craig Mosley, and Stacie Mosley; thirteen great-grandchildren; and six great-great grandchildren.

Mr. Sutter was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers; and four sisters.

Memorials may be made to the Pickton Community Center.
