YORK - Sean A. Strickler, 37, died at 1:12 a.m. Monday, December 17, 2007, at Memorial Hospital.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be 10 a.m. Thursday at St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church, 950 W. Market St., York with the Rev. Fr. Thomas R. Hoke as celebrant. Viewing will be 9 to 10 a.m. Thursday at the church. Following cremation, private burial will be at Prospect Hill Cemetery. Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory, 1551 Kenneth Rd., York is in charge of arrangements.

Sean was born July 4, 1970, in Manhattan, Geary County, Kansas. He was the son of Craig L. and Jeanne M. (Busbey) Strickler of York.

He was a 1988 graduate of Dover Area High School and later served in the United States Army. He continued his military service with the Army National Guard at Ft. Indiantown Gap and had been employed at the Union Deposit location of Lowe's Home Improvement Warehouse. Sean will always be remembered as a kind, generous, loving person.

In addition to his parents, Sean leaves his maternal grandparents, Laverne Sr. and Marie Busbey of Hanover; aunts and uncles, Michael and Melissa Busbey of Verona, James and Donna Busbey of North Palm Beach, FL, Deborah Mummert of Hanover, Carol and Craig Hoke of York, Susan Sherwood of York; and cousins. He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Carl and Alice Strickler and his paternal great grandparents, George and Margaret Enders.
