Survivors include 3 sons, David, Dow, and Robert Sorrell; 2 daughters, Louise Sorrell and Jo Gardner; 12 grandchildren; and 19 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife; his parents; and 10 brothers and sisters.
He was a farmer and a member of the Myrtle Freewill Baptist Church. He was a member of the Green Thumb program at the Couch High School for 11 years and an active member of Senior Citizens.
Services were held February 26, 1990 at the Carter Funeral Home Chapel in Thayer, MO with Rev. George Naumann officiating.
