Nancy Jo Archer
Nancy Jo Archer, the only daughter of parents William and Josephine, was born on May 2, 1939. Nancy Jo and her life partner, Gloria Roney, were reunited when Nancy gently passed away on November 13, 2021. Born in El Paso, Texas, Nancy called New Mexico her home. Nancy Jo is survived by her cousin John Bunton (Sue) and her dear ones, Rita Brockoff (Peter); Linda Roney-McAteer (Jack); Joe Roney; Randy Roney, their children and good friend, Rosalie Perea and family.

Nancy Jo was a fierce advocate for children and families working tirelessly as the CEO of Hogares Inc. since 1977. Under her leadership, the State-wide community behavioral health system was developed. She served on numerous board positions throughout the community and was influential in many policies affecting children and families. Among her most cherished accolades are: Woman on the move; Community Spirit Award and the naming of the Los Puentes Campus in her honor. Nancy loved her many, many dogs as well as reading, traveling, singing in the choir, collecting Native American and southwestern art and jewelry.

A celebration of her life will be held at a later time and date due to the increase cases of COVID. In lieu of flowers please send a contribution to Los Puentes Charter School
