Reuben V. Axvig, 77, rural Adams, ND, died Sunday, Sept. 23, 1990, in St. Ansgar's Hospital, Park River, ND.

Reuben V. Axvig was born June 11, 1913, in Silvesta Township, Walsh County, ND, the son of John and Oline Axvig. He attended Silvesta Township School No. 82, Walsh County. After he married Emma Lundgren Oct. 23, 1938, near Milton, they farmed north of Adams.

Survivors are his wife; daughters, Eunice (Mrs. John) MacFarlane, Fergus Falls, MN and Arlene (Mrs. Joseph) Woodson, Lakewood, CO; sons, Richard Axvig, Grand Forks, ND and Daniel Axvig, Bismarck, ND; 10 grandchildren; brothers, Joseph Axvig, Adams, ND and Ole Axvig, Milton, ND.

He was preceded in death by sisters, Annie (Mrs. Albert) Aune and Minnie (Mrs. Olaus) Rostvet; and brother, Elmer Axvig.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 27, 1990, in Hitterdal Lutheran Church, rural Milton, ND. Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, with a 7 p.m. prayer service, in Tollefson Funeral Home, Park River, and one hour before services in the church.
Burial in the church cemetery.
