Doris Rose Blackburn passed away peacefully on October 22, 2012 at the age of 96 in Hollywood, FL.
She was born in Louisville Kentucky to parents of Robert and Stella Huff. She was the last surviving youngest sister to Jim & Mildred Huff.
Doris married Ralph Blackburn (deceased) in 1949 in Hollywood, FL. where they had two children Richard Keith Blackburn and Raymond Robert Blackburn.
After meeting her true love Ralph at the Kentucky Derby in Louisville, they later relocated and settled in Hollywood FL, where she continued to reside.
Doris worked at the US Postal Service in Hollywood, after retiring she continued to work at the Sheridan Hills Baptist Church.
Doris enjoyed travelling to places like Europe, and to her favorite pastime the FL Keys. She especially enjoyed spending time with her family and beautiful Grandkids.
Doris is survived by her loving sons Rick (Sharon Khan), Ray, Grandchildren; Neale Robert Blackburn (Veronica Flanders) of Orlando and Alexis Victoria Green (Eric Green) in Wisconsin. Her extended family Rosemary, Marilynn, Denise and Mike, who all reside in Louisville Kentucky.
