Larry Donald Adams, 77, of Bono, went home to his Savior on Tuesday, November 30, 2021.

Larry was born on November 25, 1944, to Coy and Juanita Adams.

Larry was raised in Lake City, where he grew up helping his father on the farm. He met the love of his life, Patricia Mann on a blind date that his best friend asked him to go on with him and his girlfriend. They instantly clicked, and they later married on June 23, 1962. While raising four daughters, Larry went on to attend Modern School of Business where he studied Higher Accounting and graduated with the class of 1973.

Larry was a member of Cathedral Baptist Church where he served as treasurer. He enjoyed watching the Razorbacks, crossword puzzles, spending time with family, and being outdoors.

Larry served in the Air Force for four years where he was promoted to Sergeant. He was a Vietnam veteran, receiving four awards: the Good Conduct Medal, Vietnam Service award, Vietnam Campaign Medal, and the National Defense Service medal.

He was the proud owner of A's Lawn Service and L&P Pharmaceuticals. He was also a Deacon of the church, Volunteer Tax Preparer at United Way of Jonesboro (5 years), Local Coordinator at AARP Tax-Aide (4 years), VITA Tax Coordinator at Department of Defense Little Rock Air Force Base (7 years) where he was awarded the 19th AW Commander's coin, and a warehouse/receiving manager at Sears in which he retired after working there for 32 years.

Larry's greatest achievement was that he was an amazing and loving husband, father, son, grandpa, friend, and Christian.

In addition to his parents, Larry was preceded in death by his wife, Patricia Ann Adams, as well as his sister, Anita Sue Tenant, brother, Dennis Adams, and nephew, Ricky Adams.

Surviving members include his four daughters, Nancy (Curt) Parish, LaDonna (David) Tomlinson, Shelley (Jeff) Vaughn, and Kelley (Dan) Dorton; as well as his eight grandchildren, Kacy (Chris) Alley, Anthony Tomlinson, Caleb Hart, Sarah Vaughn, Alexandra Tomlinson, Anna Tomlinson, Luke Hart, Jessica Vaughn and a niece, Lori Abel.

The funeral service will be Saturday, December 4, 2021, at 2:00 pm in Emerson Memorial Chapel with Bro. Ken Beaver officiating. Burial will follow at Pine Log Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 1:00-2:00 pm prior to the service.
