Fred Edgerton Alexander, 87, of Sulphur, LA passed away on December 1, 2021.

Fred was born on November 25, 1934, to George and Wille Mae Alexander in Sondheimer, LA. Fred graduated from Holly Ridge High School in Rayville, LA class of 1954 and was a lifelong mechanic and always building and fixing things. He went from working in the pipeline industry to a mechanic for Caterpillar then working in the industries for 10 plus years to being self-employed opening up the Auto Clinic on Highway 90 in Sulphur, LA. He was truly a jack of all trades and master of them all. His pride and joy were his three bus conversions into motorhomes many miles traveled and many memories created.

Those left to cherish his memory are his loving wife, Janece Alexander; his six children and their spouses, Charles Randall of Lake Charles, Lynn and Bill of Reno, Rex and Toni of Lake Charles, Kirk and Gillian of Dallas, Paula and Myron of DeRidder and Pamela also of DeRidder; 21 grandchildren; 38 great grandchildren.

He is preceded in death by his daughter in law, Belinda; 4 grandchildren; and 4 great grandchildren; his parents; and 7 siblings.

Funeral services will be at 1:30 PM Sunday, December 5, 2021, at Johnson and Robison Funeral Home. Visitation will be from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM Saturday, December 4, 2021, at Johnson and Robison Funeral Home. Visitation will resume on Sunday from 10:00 AM until 1:30 PM at Johnson and Robison Funeral Home. Burial will be at Mimosa Pines South Cemetery. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to a charity of your choice in memory of Fred Alexander.
